Our Story
The Health Select Group is a purpose built, 100% Australian owned company founded in 2005 by Jeanette Cunningham, a RN and Senior Nursing Administrator with in excess of 40 years’ experience in the health industry.
Having commenced with 2 vehicles and 7 staff in 2005, our standard of service has seen the business expand to be a key operator in the sector providing road services across Victoria, southern NSW and SA. With our air partner, we provide national and international air services for the return or repatriation of patients overseas.
Health Select is contracted to public and private healthcare networks, as well as Ambulance Victoria. We are based in Sale, Shepparton, Traralgon, Inverloch, Mulgrave, Vermont, Coburg, Parkville, Holmesglen, Ballarat and Bendigo.
Best Practice Health Education, the education arm of the Health Select Group, was established to support the ongoing learning and professional development of our staff.
Best Practice is also contracted to tertiary education facilities in Victoria to deliver industry specific education at Certificate and Diploma level. Best Practice and Health Select have a synergistic relationship that is unique to the sector. This relationship enables students to gain hands on clinical experience in a supportive learning environment.
Students graduating from Best Practice are work ready to practice according to industry standards. From inception, and remaining as our very foundation, the Health Select Group’s vision of “Continuing the Care” has been actively supported by a structure that sees; “Every single team member within Health Select either personally provides clinical care and transport to a patient or supports someone who does”.
