The Health Select Group is a purpose built, 100% Australian owned company founded in 2005 by current Managing Director Jeanette Cunningham, an RN1 and Senior Nursing Administrator with in excess of 40 years’ experience in the health industry.
The company has operated within Victoria under the same senior executive structure since inception. The current management team members are all long serving and united in their focus on maintaining a quality service and excellent culture as the business grows into the future.
Having commenced with 2 patient transport vehicles in 2005, our standard of service has seen the fleet grow to a point where we are now regarded as one of the major service providers across the state of Victoria. Health Select provides high quality clinical care and transport to non-time critical patients who require stretcher or clinic transport services within the licensed Non-Emergency Patient Transport sector.
Health Select is contracted to public and private healthcare networks, as well as Ambulance Victoria. We are based in Bairnsdale, Traralgon, Wonthaggi, Mulgrave, Vermont, Coburg, Brunswick, Holmesglen, Ballarat and Bendigo.
Best Practice Health Education, the education arm of the Health Select Group, was established to support the ongoing learning and professional development of our staff. Best Practice is also contracted to tertiary education facilities in Victoria to deliver industry specific education at Certificate and Diploma level.
Best Practice and Health Select have a synergistic relationship that is unique to the sector. This relationship enables students to gain hands on clinical experience in a supportive learning environment. Students graduating from Best Practice are work ready to practice according to industry standards.
From inception, and remaining as our very foundation, the Health Select Group’s vision of “Continuing the Care” has been actively supported by a structure that sees;
“Every single team member within Health Select either personally provides clinical care and transport to a patient or supports someone who does”.
We know clients and patients don’t need rhetoric, marketing slogans or unsupported or exaggerated claims of service grandeur. In our experience, our clients and patients simply need a reliable and consistent on-time service that is delivered to an unquestioned level of clinical care. This is done in partnership with the health network staff and to their satisfaction. Our service enhances the experience and satisfaction of the patient at a time when they may be at their most vulnerable.
Our vision of “Continuing the Care” is no accident or glib marketing slogan, it was developed even before we undertook our first patient transport in 2005 as we see our role is to “Continue the Care” already provided or proposed for the patient by Health Network staff.
